You’re Still Working On Me (Christian Worship)

[Verse 1] I’ve been counting all my failures Like they’re carved into my skin Sitting in the shame I chose Afraid to let You in But You’ve never feared my darkness You keep running to my mess You call me by a different name Than all my regrets [Pre-Chorus] You don’t flinch when I fall down You just stay You just stay [Chorus] You’re still working on me You’re not walking away Every scar Every story You are using for grace You don’t love me for my glory You just love me where I am You’re still working on me And You’re holding my hand (yeah) [Verse 2] I’ve been trying to earn mercy Like it’s something I can buy But You meet me in the middle Of my doubting Of my pride You rewrite the words I live by From “unworthy” into “Yours” You turn all my broken pieces Into open doors [Pre-Chorus] You don’t flinch when I fall down You just stay You just stay [Chorus] You’re still working on me You’re not walking away Every scar Every story You are using for grace You don’t love me for my glory You just love me where I am You’re still working on me And You’re holding my hand (oh) [Bridge] Day by day You’re undoing my pretending (my pretending) Name by name All my fears are slowly ending When I can’t see the way You’re the light inside my chest You won’t leave me where You found me You’re not finished yet [Chorus] You’re still working on me You’re not walking away Every scar Every story You are using for grace You don’t love me for my glory You just love me where I am You’re still working on me You’re still working on me You’re still working on me And You’re holding my hand
