Stone in the River (Acoustic Worship)

[Verse 1] I was a stone in the river Sinking down Out of sight Carried by whatever current Calling that darkness “life” [Pre-Chorus] Then Your word cut through the water Like the sunrise through the gray Heard my name in the deep end Pulled me up to grace [Chorus] You speak and the storm lies down You breathe and these dry bones rise You walk in the fire beside me You open my blinded eyes From the pit to the promised ground Every step You make a way Jesus My song forever I will sing Your name [Verse 2] I was the lamb gone wandering Thorns and dust in my hair You left the fold for the far field Found my fear in the snare [Pre-Chorus] You wrapped me up on Your shoulders Said “Child I’ve paid the cost” Turned my shame into shouting What was broken’s not lost [Chorus] You speak and the storm lies down You breathe and these dry bones rise You walk in the fire beside me You open my blinded eyes From the pit to the promised ground Every step You make a way Jesus My song forever I will sing Your name [Bridge] From the garden to the mountain (oh) From the manger to the grave From the cross into the morning Every page is grace From the garden to the mountain (yeah) From my desert to the rain All my story Every chapter You are still the same [Chorus] You speak and the storm lies down You breathe and these dry bones rise You walk in the fire beside me You open my blinded eyes From the pit to the promised ground Every step You make a way Jesus My song forever I will sing Your name
