The Shepherd’s Arms (Uplifting Christian)

[Verse 1] I counted every doorway in the rain Calling through the hills where you had strayed One small print beside the broken gate One quiet heart I would not leave to fate [Pre-Chorus] Though the night was long Though the road was steep I knew your name I knew my sheep [Chorus] I will find you, I will carry you Close against my heart where fear can’t stay Through the thorn and dust, through the deepest dark I will bring my wandering child safely home At the cross, I paid the cost Love has made a way [Verse 2] You were hiding underneath your shame Thinking you were too far gone to claim But I saw the tears you could not show And I came down every road you know [Pre-Chorus] When your strength was gone When your hope grew thin I reached for you And called you in [Chorus] I will find you, I will carry you Close against my heart where fear can’t stay Through the thorn and dust, through the deepest dark I will bring my wandering child safely home At the cross, I paid the cost Love has made a way [Bridge] The wounds that marked my hands and side Became the door thrown open wide No distance now, no debt remains Grace is calling out your name [Final Chorus] I have found you, I will carry you Set your weary feet upon the way Every scar and tear is redeemed in me You are held forever, safely home with me At the cross, I paid the cost Death has lost its claim [Outro] Rest now, little one, beneath my care The Shepherd’s arms will hold you there
