Wandering Through the Wilderness (Folk-Gospel Groove)

[Verse 1] I was wandering through the wilderness Dust on my feet Dry in my chest Every map I drew just led me Back to my own mess Thought I knew my promised land Built my castles out of sand Then the river split around me Like it knew Your hand [Chorus] You make a way where I don’t see roads You lift my heart when the burden grows Every valley Every shadow You are with me You are close You make a way where I don’t see roads Lead me on where Your mercy flows Step by step and stone by stone You still bring this rebel home [Verse 2] I have shouted with the doubters I have slept inside my shame Yet Your kindness kept on calling Softly saying out my name Now my fear falls like Jericho Every wall comes tumbling slow As I march on in the silence Trusting what You know [Chorus] You make a way where I don’t see roads You lift my heart when the burden grows Every valley Every shadow You are with me You are close You make a way where I don’t see roads Lead me on where Your mercy flows Step by step and stone by stone You still bring this rebel home [Bridge] If I run If I hide (oh Lord) You still seek You still find In the fire In the flood You’re the shelter and the sign [Chorus] You make a way where I don’t see roads You lift my heart when the burden grows Every valley Every shadow You are with me You are close You make a way where I don’t see roads Lead me on where Your mercy flows Step by step and stone by stone You still bring this rebel home
