Take Up Your Mat and Walk (Joyful Gospel)

[Verse 1] Thirty-eight years beside the water Waiting for a miracle to come Then Jesus stood and asked the question Do you want to be made well, my son [Chorus] Take up your mat and walk Jesus has spoken the word Take up your mat and walk Rise up, you are healed by the Lord What was broken now is whole He has made you new Take up your mat and walk His word is true [Verse 2] No one there to lift him, no one there to care But the Healer of the nations met him right there One word from the Master and his legs grew strong He was dancing in the temple, singing a brand new song [Chorus] Take up your mat and walk Jesus has spoken the word Take up your mat and walk Rise up, you are healed by the Lord What was broken now is whole He has made you new Take up your mat and walk His word is true [Bridge] Rise up, rise up There is power in His name Rise up, rise up You will never be the same [Chorus] Take up your mat and walk Jesus has spoken the word Take up your mat and walk Rise up, you are healed by the Lord What was broken now is whole He has made you new Take up your mat and walk His word is true
