New With Every Day

[Verse 1] Morning lays its hand upon the quiet room A page turns softly, pale light enters soon You meet me here before the day can run Your mercy holds me like the rising sun [Chorus] Steadfast love, meet me in the morning Faithful word, guide my steps today When my heart is tired, keep me near You Your compassion is new with every day [Verse 2] Through ancient lines, Your patient voice is clear A sheltering promise steadies what I fear Like roots that drink beside the river's flow Teach me to trust the good I cannot know [Chorus] Steadfast love, meet me in the morning Faithful word, guide my steps today When my heart is tired, keep me near You Your compassion is new with every day [Bridge] You are my portion, quiet and enough Your hand will lead me when the road is rough I give this day, its labor and its praise And walk beneath the kindness of Your gaze [Final Chorus] Steadfast love, meet me in the morning Faithful word, guide my steps today When my heart is tired, keep me near You Your compassion is new with every day Your compassion is new with every day [Outro] New with every day Amen
