Meet Me in My Failure (Solemn Contemporary)

[Verse 1] By the courtyard fire, I kept my hands closed tight A servant asked your name, I turned away from light Three times my courage broke beneath the morning chill Yet you had seen my weakness, and you loved me still [Pre-Chorus] When the rooster called, the silence said it all I met the weight of what I’d done, and felt my defenses fall [Chorus] Jesus, meet me in the place where I have failed Hold my broken promise underneath the scars You bore You did not leave me in the ashes of regret Your mercy found my wandering heart and called me Yours again [Verse 2] I watched the road to Calvary disappear beyond the crowd Your shoulders bent beneath the cross, while I could not speak aloud The nails became a doorway, the grave could not remain And through the risen morning, You were calling me by name [Pre-Chorus] No question hid its judgment, no anger closed the door You asked if I would love You, and I was Yours once more [Chorus] Jesus, meet me in the place where I have failed Hold my broken promise underneath the scars You bore You did not leave me in the ashes of regret Your mercy found my wandering heart and called me Yours again [Bridge] I will not boast in courage I will not hide my shame The Shepherd who was wounded Has gathered me again Send me where the lost are waiting Give me grace to speak Your name The hands I once kept empty Now reach for You in faith [Final Chorus] Jesus, meet us in the places where we fail Hold every broken promise underneath the scars You bore You do not leave us in the ashes of regret Your mercy finds our wandering hearts and calls us Yours again [Outro] At the fire, at the cross, in the dawn that rose anew I am forgiven, I am restored, I belong to You
