Jesus Appeared by the Sea (Christian Worship)

[Verse 1] Morning rested softly on the water Nets were empty, tired hands let go On the shore a fire began to flicker And a stranger called them from below [Pre-Chorus] Their hearts remembered every promise Though they scarcely dared to know [Chorus] Jesus appeared by the sea Risen and near as the dawn He met their sorrow patiently And called their weary hearts on From the deep to the shore Mercy opened the door Jesus appeared by the sea And hope was breathing once more [Verse 2] John saw first and spoke the holy name Peter wrapped his coat and plunged ahead They found bread and fish beside the fire Grace prepared a table in their stead [Pre-Chorus] No accusation in His welcome Only love where fear had fled [Chorus] Jesus appeared by the sea Risen and near as the dawn He met their sorrow patiently And called their weary hearts on From the deep to the shore Mercy opened the door Jesus appeared by the sea And hope was breathing once more [Bridge] Feed My sheep, He said with kindness Tend the ones I place in you Failure cannot end the calling Love will make the broken new [Final Chorus] Jesus appeared by the sea Risen and near as the dawn He meets our sorrow patiently And calls our weary hearts on From the grave to the shore Grace is stronger than before Jesus appeared by the sea And hope is breathing evermore [Outro] By the water, by the fire We will follow where You lead Risen Savior, faithful Shepherd You are all our hearts will need
