Into the Jordan (Baptism Folk)

[Verse 1] Jesus walked down to the Jordan Where the waters gently flowed Heaven opened like a curtain And the Spirit like a dove came down [Chorus] Into the Jordan, into the light I'm following Jesus, my soul is alive Down in the water, up in His grace I'm walking with Jesus all of my days [Verse 2] Now I'm standing where He stood With my heart wide open too Lay my old life in the river Come up singing, born brand new [Bridge] Wade on in, wade on in There is freedom here from sin Wade on in, wade on in [Chorus] Into the Jordan, into the light I'm following Jesus, my soul is alive Down in the water, up in His grace I'm walking with Jesus all of my days
