Dust on My Bible (Worship Band)

[Verse 1] Found You in the dust on my Bible Coffee stain on every holy page I was skimming for survival You were writing mercy on my shame [Chorus] You turn old words into new breath You light the dark in my old chest Every line Every promise that I hide in Becomes a road back to Your kindness Dust on my Bible Tears on my face Somehow You meet me in this place [Verse 2] Highlighter on the margins from last summer Questions scribbled where I lost my way Still You speak in red and black and wonder Calling out my wandering by name [Chorus] You turn old words into new breath You light the dark in my old chest Every line Every promise that I hide in Becomes a road back to Your kindness Dust on my Bible Tears on my face Somehow You meet me in this place [Bridge] I thought I had to climb to heaven (oh) But heaven’s been here on my shelf You were waiting in the waiting Reading me while I read myself [Chorus] You turn old words into new breath You light the dark in my old chest Every line Every promise that I hide in Becomes a road back to Your kindness Dust on my Bible Tears on my face Jesus You meet me in this place
