Brighter Than Before (Band Gentle)

[Verse 1] Woke up with a weight Sitting on my chest Coffee getting cold Same old Heavy mess But I wrote your name On the window fog Watch the letters clear Like a clearing storm [Chorus] We are broken But we’re healing Even slow steps still move forward I’ll hold on when you lose feeling Till your heart beats brighter than before Brighter than before Brighter than before [Verse 2] Therapist at ten Traffic at eleven Breathing at a red light Counting up to seven Tiny little wins Stack them on the shelf Proof that staying here Is you choosing yourself [Chorus] We are broken But we’re healing Even slow steps still move forward I’ll hold on when you lose feeling Till your heart beats brighter than before Brighter than before Brighter than before [Bridge] It’s okay to cry (yeah) It’s okay to say “I don’t feel okay today” Stay one more night Stay for one more sunrise Let that soft light Kiss the dark from your eyes [Chorus] We are broken But we’re healing Even slow steps still move forward I’ll hold on when you lose feeling Till your heart beats brighter than before Brighter than before (brighter than before) Brighter than before
