At the Foot (Christian Hymn)

[Verse 1] I came with empty hands Dust on my knees A broken song in my mouth And a heart needing peace You met me in the quiet Where the guilty run [Pre-Chorus] I looked up at the wonder Of Your mercy wide The weight of all my failure Could not make You hide [Chorus] At the foot of Calvary You were there for me At the foot of Calvary Grace came rushing free (At the foot of Calvary) (At the foot of Calvary) [Verse 2] The thorns, the blood, the mercy The sorrow and the beam The stones that held the silence Still tremble in my dream But love was not defeated It only had begun [Pre-Chorus] I looked up at the wonder Of Your mercy wide The weight of all my failure Could not make You hide [Chorus] At the foot of Calvary You were there for me At the foot of Calvary Grace came rushing free (At the foot of Calvary) (At the foot of Calvary) [Bridge] When I had no words left You carried every cry When shame said I was finished You spoke my name with life I lay it down before You I lay it down again [Chorus] At the foot of Calvary You were there for me At the foot of Calvary Grace came rushing free (At the foot of Calvary) (At the foot of Calvary)
