These are three lectures (numbers 8, 9, 10) excerpted from the author’s 1920 book On The Art Of Reading. The lectures were delivered to students at Cambridge University. Quiller-Couch (1863-1944) was a British writer whose work included novels, short stories, poetry, and anthologies. As well, he taught English literature at Cambridge University.
