The Lotus Sutra is venerated by the Tiantai (天台), Huayan (華嚴), Pure Land (淨土宗), Chan (禪), Cheontae (천태종), Seon (선), Jogye (대한불교조계종), Taego (태고종), Tendai (天台宗), Zen (禅), Nichiren (日蓮仏教), Soka Gakkai (創価学会), Thiên Thai, Hoa Nghiêm, Thiền, and Tịnh Độ schools of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition, among others. Sanskrit: सद्धर्मपुण्डरीकसूत्रम् Saddharma Puṇḍarīka Sūtram (lit. Sūtra on the White Lotus of the True Dharma) Chinese: 妙法蓮華經 Miàofǎ Liánhuá jīng (short: 法華經 Fǎhuá jīng).
