About this book

Definitions is a dictionary of 184 terms, originated in Plato’s Academy. Until late antiquity Plato was named as the author of this work, but in the anonymous Prolegomena to Platonic Philosophy, 10. 26. 4 Speusippus is mentioned as the author. The 32 Epigrams are attributed to Plato and are short poems written in the form of elegiac couplets.
